Summer Employment Consultation

Our Employment Consultation program offers individualized, one-on-one support to help teens (13+) and adults build the skills, confidence, and direction needed to move toward meaningful employment goals. 

Delivered through a flexible hybrid model (community-based sessions and virtual appointments), participants work closely with an experienced Employment Consultant to explore their interests, strengthen their skills, and navigate real-world workplace challenges. 
 

Duration: 6 weeks (Weekly 1-hour Sessions) over the summer 
Ages: Teens and Adults (13+) 
Format: 1:1 consultation
Location: Community-based & Virtual
Cost: $600
(May be eligible for reimbursement through OAP or Passport funding, subject to guidelines)
 

Participants may work on: 

• Resume development and job applications 
• Interview preparation and practice 
• Exploring career pathways, education, and volunteering opportunities 
• Building self-advocacy skills 
• Problem-solving barriers such as transportation or workplace accommodations 
• Setting clear, personalized employment or pre-employment goals 

Participants requirements:

• Functional communication skills 
• Access to a computer or tablet with internet 
• Ability to navigate safely in the community 
• Motivation to work toward employment-related goals
