Urgent Response Services for Autism

Children and youth with autism may exhibit high-risk behaviours, putting them at greater risk of self-harm or harm to others. Urgent Response Services (URS) provide swift, time-limited interventions to prevent further escalation of risk. Our skilled team offers up to 12 weeks of personalized services to address urgent behaviour needs. Working closely with families, we establish a safer home environment.

Program benefits:

Interdisciplinary Consultation: Short-term consultations involving clinicians, family members, and other service providers
Time-Limited Respite Support: Providing relief and assistance
Service Navigation: Guiding families to existing services within and outside the Ontario Autism Program
Direct Support: Assisting families and relevant professionals in implementing behaviour intervention and therapeutic techniques
