Employment 101
Building Skills for the Future 

Employment 101 is a skill-based and interactive program designed to help youth aged 13-17 take their first steps toward future employment. Through a combination of engaging group sessions and individualized support, participants will build confidence, discover their strengths, and develop practical tools to support future employment success. 
 

Duration: 6 weeks (July–August) 
Schedule: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, mornings 
Format: In-person at Geneva Centre (Merton Street
Support:
2 staff for every 10 participants 
Includes: 5 weeks of group sessions + 1 individualized consultation 
Cost: Free 
 

Teens will learn to:

  • Identify their skills, interests, and values 
  • Explore educational and volunteer opportunities 
  • Learn how to confidently navigate the job application process 
  • Create strong resumes and cover letters 
  • Build confidence in setting and achieving goals 

Ideal Participants:

  • Aged 13–17
  • Identify as neurodiverse
  • Motivated to engage in a group setting and able to participate safely with limited support (2 staff to 10 participants)
  • Have transportation arranged before and after the program
