Honouring the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It is a day to honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, the Survivors, and their families and communities who continue to live with this legacy.
For many of us who are settlers on this land, this day is also a call to action; to learn, to reflect, and to understand the land on which we live, work, and gather. One way to begin is through Whose Land, an interactive platform that helps identify Indigenous territories, Nations, and treaties connected to your location.
